4 MONTH UPDATE...

KJ went to his 4-month check up today and got a clean bill of health. He gets shots tomorrow, so that might be a different story, but he is growing quickly. The doctor checked him over, took some quick measurements and sent us on our way.

Earlier in the week, KJ, Kurt and I took a trip down to Ford Field to watch the Lions in their pre-season game versus the Browns. KJ loved the jumbo screen and kept trying to eat our popcorn. Aside from the loud cheers and drunk guys that sat behind us, he liked the football game and was a really good boy during the whole trip.

BIG BOY...

4 months old and not slowing down. KJ continues to grow at lightening speed. He has made some big strides this past month, turning into a little boy from a baby.

He rolled over for the first time last night. I found him on his stomach when I went to feed him at 4am. A neat surprise for the middle of the night. He found his feet last week and hasn't let go of them since. In a pinch, he will chew on a toe instead of his hand. He is getting ready to pop a tooth through his sore little gums. Amidst all the drool, fussiness and lack of appetite due to teething, I know one is coming. He started to sporadically sleep through the night about two weeks ago and blesses his mama with 8 to 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep once or twice a week. Nice! He is also using his hands all the time, grabbing for toys, his pacifier, faces and even starting to reach for his mom and dad to be picked up. Best of all, he is a laughing and talking machine. He stops during eating to talk with me and smile. It is frustrating, but damn cute. He also loves to play with his daddy and grandpa and grandma, laughing as them make funny noises and tickle him.

Insane to think that babies go from helpless little things to people with personality in a little over 100 days.
