HAIR CUT AND HALLOWEEN

After being mistaken for a girl for the 1,000th time (seriously, I dress him in football shirts and cargo pants), and my parents and grandparents constantly asking me, I finally gave in and cut KJ's hair. I miss it already. In fairness to the people who wanted it cut, it did need to be tamed and you can't just trim a baby's hair with ease or use product. So, off it went. I can't wait for it to grow back into a big ole mess of hockey hair. Did I mention that I miss it?

Before: After:

On a different note, KJ is excited about his 1st Halloween and wanted to wish everyone a safe and fun Halloween!

HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY

6 months and we have a little boy, quickly turning into a little man. We headed to the orchard last week during our Indian Summer for family pictures and got a few of KJ too. I have to go through the lot of them to pick out his "official" picture, but here a couple of him taking in the beautiful fall day.

SOME CANDIDS...

Aunt Kim setup an awesome "photo shoot" for KJ. While we had to deal with cough syrup spills and peeing on fur, she got some great pictures during the shoot and after.

GO GREEN...

We took a trip to East Lansing to watch ND play MSU in a battle of the green on Saturday. Kurt and I were both cheering for the Fighting Irish, but KJ was undecided. While he loves his parents, he wanted to support his Aunt Katrina and her alma mater too.

We met Grandma and Grandpa and Jeremy and Katrina to do a little tailgating before the game and walked around a lot of MSU's campus. It was KJ and his mama's first time at MSU and we thought that the campus was beautiful. KJ got into the tailgating mood and found out that he loved Miller Lite.

It was a beautiful day to be outside and the atmosphere was great. Can't beat sun, family, football, beer and brats.

A GROWING 5 MONTH OLD...

It's that time again-- another month has gone by and it is already time to give an update on our little man.

Oh, KJ. He is 100% a piece of me and Kurt. We can't decide where he gets the majority of his stubborn attitude, but he knows what he wants and lets us know.

It has been another month of growth and change for our baby. He is rolling over from his back to his stomach both ways and will roll from his stomach to his back on the right hand side. He got his two bottom front teeth after a good month or so of constant drool. He is starting to sit by himself with a little bit of help from us. Lastly, KJ is starting to talk with actual sounds like ma and ba. I swear that he is saying mama, but Kurt says I am crazy (just jealous because he isn't saying dada in any way, shape or form).

Only 30 more days and our little guy will be half a year old. Watch out- he will be mobile by then!
